Hello, My uncle died recently, and I have some queries. He once told us few years ago he had policies, and that me and my sister were named as beneficiaries. Okay. Well, when he died, his girlfriend of a few weeks went to his flat, took all his papers, keys etc and wont give us them. My parents could go to a solicitor as they are the executors of his will but they cannot activate the will because they can’t afford to pay the solicitor. At the minute, his girlfriend (who is clearly actually a golddigga) is getting a death certificate and trying to deal with things. Does this mean i will never see the insurance payout which my uncle wanted me to have? I don’t know the company, we wh,d have had to find it in the papers but his stupid golddigga girlfriend has them all and even if my parents payed the solicitor, chances are she wouldn’t give them back. So I turned 16 a few weeks ago, but I won’t be able to get my license until in a few months because I got my permit late. I’ve been browsing around cars that I want and I’ve had my eye on a 2012 Kia Rio, but I’ve figured since they’re still pretty new the price won’t be that low. I also prefer to have my car have two features, buttons on the wheel to control music and a USB port. I found this car, that I’ve started to grow on it a lot, this happens to be the 2011 Honda CR-Z. I’ve done a pros and cons list between the Rio and the CR-Z, and what I came up with is that my only con for the CR-Z is that its a two door car and apparently some models don’t even have back seats, as on the Rio it’s a four door sedan. Another thing is that the Kia doesn’t come with a USB or buttons on the wheel in the SX model ( the cheapest model) which is 13k, but the EX model has those two features for 15k. So i’m leaning a bit more toward the CR-Z for now, I want to get a used one in white in pretty good condition, I’ve done some research and that costs roughly 12k. My dad got my sister her car for 8k when it was only a year or two old model, shes had that car for about five years now. I plan on keeping the CR-Z until I finish college, so about six to eight years maybe until I get a real job and buy myself my own car. Now the problem is my parents sort of, my dad might give me about 4 or 5 thousand dollars for a car and my mom might chip in 1 or 2. I was thinking a way to convince my parents to buy me a 12k car is that ill pay my own insurance, i’ll take the Driver’s Ed class to lower it a bit too. Thats the thing, I don’t know what I can do, so i’m just suggesting out anything I can possibly even try to do about it, small claims or what not. My father has a permanent/whole life insurance. When he had a stroke and got totally disable the 1st several years he didn’t have to pay any monthly premium but in the past few years we been paying for the premium are told that he need to start paying a monthly premium because the savings on his life insurance ran out and every year they send a statement to pay a portion of the premium for 1 year to continue the coverage that besides paying the regular monthly premium which makes his total monthly premium way much higher than what he original pays when he 1st got his insurance. My question is I thought that when a policy holder get totally disable and can’t work and had no income that it doesnt matter if its term or permanent life insurance that the monthly premium is waived for life for that disabled policy holder?
